Rise and Fall of the Tibetan Empire (618 - 842)

In the early 600s a new regional state was formed in the Lhasa region and ousted the old Yarlung Dynasty which for its History was subject to other larger empires overlordship. Under the reign of Songtsan Gampo he is able to expand his realm and thus the Tibetan Empire.
