Major targets for nuclear bombs in Soviet Union, part of planning a nuclear attack on the USSR (September, 1945)

In 1945, shortly after Japan capitulation US Air Force plannist start analyze how many nuclear bombs are needed to destroy Soviet Union (USSR) industrial capability, transportation network and telecommunication centers. Analysis revealed as optimum possession 466 bombs (123 at the minimum) ready to immediate use in case war with USSR.

The United States expected to have 10 at most by the end of the year, and they were to be used on Japan if the war had continued.
