The map above show terrorist attacks in the United States. Circle sizes signify number of deaths and injuries. The data were collected by the University of Maryland, which defines terrorism as "threatened or actual use of illegal force and violence by a non‐state actor to attain a political, economic, religious, or social goal through fear, coercion, or intimidation."
